Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - Madge
Networks N.V. (NASDAQ: MADGF), a worldwide supplier of data, video and voice networking
solutions, has announced the promotion of Chris Bradley, 38, to the role of chief
financial officer, further strengthening the companys senior management team. As
CFO, Chris oversees all aspects of financial management at Madge Networks as well as being
responsible for legal and administrative functions.
In his previous position as Madges vice president of finance, Chris held
responsibility for financial operations across the company including financial control and
reporting, financial planning, tax and treasury. This included overseeing all the
financial aspects of the companys acquisition of telecommunications carrier Gains
International in February 1999.
Prior to joining Madge as finance director in 1996, Chris spent seven years with global
telecommunications giant, Nortel, where he amassed a wealth of experience including joint
ventures and acquisition activity in the telecoms sector. His roles at Nortel included
financial director for Nortel World Trade, where he was responsible for a division
consisting of ten, separate international business units and with revenues topping US$4
billion. Previous roles included director of financial planning for the Nortel Group, as
well as complete financial responsibility for PBX manufacturing worldwide.
Prior to Nortel, Chris held financial management positions with the Hearst Corporation
subsidiary COMAG, Digital Equipment and 3M.
