N.E.T. and Diginet Announce Digital
Data Network Serving Buenos Aires
Growing Business Needs
Fremont, Calif., Monday, November 9, 1998 - N.E.T. (NYSE: NWK) and Diginet
Americas, Inc. today announced the expansion of Diginet Argentina S.A.'s Diveo® Digital
Dedicated AccessSM service in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Diveo service offers businesses
fast access, high capacity and flexible connectivity. Initially targeting the fast growing
IP and LAN to LAN traffic segment, the service has been established to create virtual
private networks that support voice, data and video requirements.
Diginet Argentina's service coverage will be expanded with the addition of more than ten
N.E.T.(TM) Promina(TM) 800 Multiservice Access Platforms located throughout the
metropolitan Buenos Aires area. The value of the initial contract with N.E.T. is
approximately $3 million.
"Developing a strategic relationship with N.E.T. represents another critical step in
strengthening our technical and operational plan to build a world-class network,"

The high capacity Promina 800 Series platforms will include E3 digital microwave
connections for quick deployment of backbone services. From a business subscriber
perspective, variable rate data services with connections ranging to E1 speeds will
support IP traffic as well as other types of LAN and SNA data traffic. N.E.T. PanaVue(TM)
network management will provide an extensive set of remote management and reporting
capabilities. Diveo services are designed to allow financial institutions, businesses and
government organizations to connect branch offices and clients as if they were connected
to the same LAN.

needs of Latin America's urban markets."
