Dynatech Announces Several
Large Orders


BURLINGTON, Mass., July 13, 1998 . . . Dynatech Corporation reported that its AIRSHOW, TTC, and Itronix subsidiaries received several large orders recently.

AIRSHOW, the worldwide leading provider of passenger in-flight information and entertainment systems, recently received three separate orders from Cessna Aircraft Company, Gulfstream Service Center, and a large international airline, which together amounted to approximately $5 million. The orders are for AIRSHOW's mapping systems, software and AIRSHOW TV®.

AIRSHOW also announced the first AIRSHOW TV installation on a Challenger corporate jet. This marks the fourth installation of AIRSHOW TV on various aircraft to date. AIRSHOW TV is the first live television system available to private jets via direct broadcast satellite with video programming similar to that received in a home or office. Passengers onboard the Challenger corporate jet are now able to tune into live news and sports broadcasts, as well as many of their other favorite television channels while in flight.

Germantown, Maryland-based TTC announced a sale of over $3 million of its centralized test and monitoring systems to Nextel Communications, Inc., a leading provider of all-digital wireless services. The test system will enhance Nextel's ability to assure network availablity and will play a critical role in verifying and maintaining Nextel's network performance for its nationwide customers.

TTC's comprehensive system solution for network test and monitoring comprises several key components: the CENTEST 650, a centralized test unit which allows users to monitor and troubleshoot networks from a single location; NetAnalyst, an integrated test management software; EarlyWarning, surveillance software from Clear Communications, Inc. which collects and analyzes network data to identify problems before they occur; and TTC service and support.

Itronix Corporation received a $7 million order for ruggedized notebook computers from one of the nation's leading insurance companies. This company's mobile automobile and property claims adjusters around the country will use Itronix's XC-6250 ruggedized notebook computers, which are equipped with communications capabilities, for on-site appraisal to expedite property settlement.

Itronix Corporation is a leading supplier of ruggedized notebook computers used by telephone companies, utilities and other organizations with large field-service workforces to collect and transmit information to a central database.
