Sequent and Siebel Announce Strategic Alliance
Siebel's Enterprise Relationship Management Applications to Leverage Sequent's
SAN MATEO, Calif. and BEAVERTON, Ore.December 7, 1998Siebel Systems,
Inc. (Nasdaq: SEBL) and Sequent Computer Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SQNT) today announced a
strategic alliance to deliver Siebel's Enterprise Relationship Management (ERM) solutions
on Sequent's NUMACenter platform. In addition, Siebel solutions will be integrated
into Sequent's front-office offerings as a Contact Advantage Partner. This
partnership will enable customers to deploy Siebel's integrated family of sales, marketing
and customer service products on NUMACenter, Sequent's data center infrastructure that
leverages the strengths of both UNIX and Windows NT.
